The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters presents a lecture on "The Emerging Science of Regenerative Medicine," part of its Academy Evening series. UW Prof. Allen-Hoffmann, CEO of a company that produces human skin substitutes, will explore how this cutting-edge science can lead to improved patient care and Wisconsin jobs.

The local country radio station will honor boot-scooting, twang-loving entertainers at this event featuring Dustin Lynch, Sarah Darling and Easton Corbin. Proceeds benefit Operation Toy Drive.

Majestic Theatre, 9 pm
Celebrate moves and grooves from South and Central America at the fifth edition of this fete organized by the Majestic Theatre and Cardinal Bar. Featured acts include Grupo Candela, Charanga Agoza, Tony Castañeda Latin Jazz Super Band and DJ Rumba, and proceeds benefit the scholarship program at Centro Hispano of Dane County.
