The first time he passed the hat, Truly Remarkable Loon collected 38 cents. "I remember thinking, 'This isn't really going to work out, is it?'" he tells contributing writer David Medaris in a profile of the irrepressible comedy juggler. A Madison Memorial High School alum, Loon spurned college when a series of chance encounters set him on a juggling career. "I'd spend six or eight hours a day throwing stuff around," he says. He gets a charge out of leaving audiences helpless with laughter: "I come home after a show and people ask me how it went and I say, 'Well, I had to stop so they could breathe.'" Loon continues to leave audiences breathless. Recent appearances include the Wisconsin State Fair, and his next Madison performances are scheduled for the Willy Street Fair.
