Today's image is titled Crackdown at Badger games? and was photographed by Sara Ziemendorf.
A portable highway warning sign located at the corner of Crazylegs Lane and Regent Street at the southwestern corner of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus speaks loudly in amidst the rising clamor about alcohol use and abuse among students and other downtown residents. Situated just across the way from the UW Fieldhouse and the south end of Camp Randall, the sign declares: "NO ALCOH BEVERAGE FINE 298."
This photo was shot only two days before the second home game of the season for the Wisconsin Badgers football team, which is hosting the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday, September 6. Given the preponderance of both pre- and post-game tailgating and house parties, there's little doubt that there will be at least a few celebrants who don't heed this warning.
