Get ready for more thunder and lightning. It will be up in the 80's though. Some chicken or fish or something from JJ Fish and Chicken.
Big car crash at the corner of State and Henry. Yes, I said State. I think what happened was a car was trying to drive up State and a cop tried to pull it over. The car gunned it and crashed into another car, which smashed through the patio at Cosi and crashed into the window. The other car is totaled and is on the sidewalk in front of the Triangle Market. I haven't heard any news of injury.
I don't think the State Journal had State St in mind when they asked people to tell them about dangerous intersections.
Under the mayor's new property tax plan, in which the city takes over collection, taxpayers would make four payments, rather than two.
That's funny, I witnessed this scene almost verbatim yesterday: "Scot Ross, the boisterous front man for one of the state's leading liberal advocacy groups, strides down State Street smoking a cigarette and talking politics. He flicks the butt toward the curb before entering a local café, then exits double-fisting an espresso and an iced tea."
State Journal is way late on this story but whatever, it's the primaries. Sums up Ron Johnson's convention win from Sunday and the implications for the state GOP. Of course, Mordecai Lee is consulted as an expert.
Leinenkugel says he wasn't really that committed to running for Senate.
Haha, It was one thing when GOP Chair put down Dick Leinenkugel. Whatever, the guy deserved it. But now he's publicly dissing Mark Neumann's chances? Which makes me wonder: was he being honest when he said he thought Terrence Wall had a shot at Feingold?
Rep. Scott Suder urges repeal of Doyle's early-release program, saying it "rewards bad behavior." That is incorrect. The bill rewards inmates for good behavior.
Just in case you're wondering, this is what the Wisconsin State Lottery does. Notice where all the money goes: Property tax relief.
Yet another high rise apartment complex proposed on West Gorham.
