"I'm a pretty traditional guy. I believe in a culture of life, and I believe marriage is between one man and one woman." Ron Johnson
Later on, he adds the following:
Ron is pro-life, pro-family, and believes that freedom of religion doesn't mean freedom from religion
The last part of that sentence doesn't really make sense, but it doesn't matter. The message is that religion shouldn't be barred from public life, even if "freedom from religion" could only mean two of the following things: a) that freedom comes from religion or b) the right of the people to not have religion in their life. The first one is clearly not true, and that any candidate for public office outside of Alabama would not believe in the second one is somewhat disturbing.
In addition, Johnson also has a section on "Cracking down on Illegal Immigration." The part of this issue stance that has caused him some trouble is the support for REAL ID, which would create a national ID card. Some Tea Partiers aren't big fans.
