Brenda Konkel is putting out a lot of news today. Her most recent link is to a memo sent by Deputy Secretary for Administration Dan Schoof. He reports that Gov. Doyle and Mayor Cieslewicz will announce today that the Department of Administration building will be the spot for the high-speed train station today.
This is an exciting decision. Our building will be the best location for a station that is vibrant, multi-use and well-connected to an expanded transportation network.
This is Brenda's comment on the story: "Will they get run over by the train? No, it will be the best thing since sliced bread."
Is Brenda Konkel suggesting the state and city cannot be relied upon to execute a plan entirely as they say they will? It's the beginning of the end the day Brenda loses faith in our elected officials and their appointees.
