Despite Rand Paul's recently-acquired taste for the politics of Sarah Palin and Jim Bunning, both of whom he prominently displays in recent TV spots, Bluegrass voters are having second thoughts about his candidacy.
A new CNN/Time/Opinion Research survey in Kentucky shows Rand Paul (R) and Jack Conway (R) tied at 46% among registered voters in the U.S. Senate race.
Paul is winning among conservatives by more than 40 points, but Conway has a 22-point advantage among moderates.
Take the poll with a grain of salt, no doubt. A recent SurveyUSA poll found Paul ahead by 15 points as did Rasmussen. Of all three, Rasmussen is the most inclined to inject bias into the results.
