The NFL has effectively banned teams from playing Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part 2," perhaps known better as the "Hey!" song, in their stadiums this season. The reason: Glitter's conviction for child molestation in Vietnam.
The Packers have never relied heavily on Glitter at Lambeau Field, opting for Todd Rundgren's "Bang the Drum All Day" after touchdowns and the home-brewed "Go Pack Go!" when it's necessary to fire up the fans. The opening riff of Guns 'n Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" also always works in a pinch. Still, one wonders to whom the Pack might turn should Rundgren ever run afoul of the law. I sense an opening for arena-rock-loving locals Awesome Car Funmaker.
