The sneak preview soiree to benefit the Arctic Passage is May 9, 2015
The wait is almost over!
With the coming of spring, the long-awaited opening of the Henry Vilas Zoo's biggest project to date: the Arctic Passage is just around the corner. On Saturday, May 9, 2015, attend the Arctic Adventure and be one of the first to experience the Arctic Passage, including the underwater polar bear viewing area through the glass of the Glacier Grille and the rushing stream with fresh salmon for our grizzly bear girls. This exclusive, "zoo-chic" event will include appetizers by local restaurants, a cash bar, silent auction, free train and carousel rides, and special close-up experiences with our new zoo animals. VIP tickets even include the opportunity to see the transformation of the 1.7 acre area of the zoo through a tour of the old and new bear exhibits. The new exhibits will provide our animals with environments similar to those of their natural habitats and offer the best care for our animals while educating zoo-goers about the challenges they face in the wild. Arctic Adventure will give you a chance to preview the completion of this 10-year community-supported project. Tickets are limited to this 21+ event, so get yours before they're gone!
