April 10th: Hyperactive and Centrific, with Lovecraft, Wyatt Agard, and Kiazma
Hyperactive and Centrific are two dominant names in the Midwest Techno scene. At House of Love, they will play a back-to-back set, showcasing some of the best and most intense techno in the country.
Hyperactive, a Chicago native and legend in the international club scene, has been pounding out deep, gritty techno for over 20 years. His productions, on 4Trk, Drop Bass, and a slew of labels over the years, are instantly recognizable as Hyperactive creations with their booming kicks and slick, structured stabs. His mixing is the stuff of legend, with a board range of styles and sounds that create a thick vibe at every show. He is the real deal.
Centrific, a Minneapolis man with underground techno in his veins, is joining Hyperactive for this special night. A Centrifc set is always deeply rooted in big beats and clean arrangements. He is one of the most respected players in the Minneapolis scene and his label, Intellefunk, has been a solid and respected source for some of the finest names in techno from around the world.
Opening the night is Madison's own Kiazma, doing a live techno set of his unique and infectious creations of techno mayhem. He's hard and infectious and not to be missed.
