Experience a rare night of traveling songwriters extrodinaire. Three songbirds, all seasoned performers and friends, tour the Midwest this May for just three weeks.
Portuguese Canadian Awana Teixeira (above) has toured professionally since 2001. Her work with the roots band Po'Girl included 5 albums, and live performances in 15 countries spread over 4 continents. Awna handles many instruments with ease, and conveys the classic old time feel of back porch spirituals. Thanks to her Portuguese upbringing, you can also hear tales of heartache and travel through accordion-driven European folk. Awna recently released her second full length solo CD, "Wild One." Awna's voice has been compared to Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris.
American Folk singer/songwriter, Jenn Rawling composes highly melodic songs from scraps of images and phrases, singing them with a vibrant, immediately engaging yodel-edged alto.
Huck Notari is best described as Original Country Folk. Having grown up in the mountains of New Hampshire, Huck is steeped in the authenticity of times gone by. He draws his listeners into a timeless place of old values.
