Art school open house of 100+ artists, 11 am-2 pm, 4/18, UW-Milwaukee, with performances, demos, film screenings. Schedule: uwm.edu/kos. 414-229-6688
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts' annual Kenilworth Open Studios (KOS) event is returning to Milwaukee's East Side Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 11AM-2PM.
KOS is the largest community outreach event hosted by Peck School of the Arts. It is an open house of Kenilworth Square East - a 6-floor, 500,000-square-foot, industrial artist studio space home to over 100 award-winning graduate students and faculty of UWM's Peck School of the Arts.
During KOS, studios open their doors and invite the community in to watch live art in the making. Guests will experience three hours of art exhibitions & film screenings; live music, theatre and dance performances; demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages!
In 2014, KOS attracted over 1600 curious residents of Milwaukee and surrounding areas. The wonder and excitement of exploring the massive and striking Kenilworth space while engaging in a variety of local art attracts a diverse audience ranging from toddlers to budding artists to retired arts appreciators.
Popular local eateries will be serving food and beverage (including beer and wine) on the 6th floor encouraging all to make it to the top!
