Mad Theory 2
Saturday, March 21
9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Central Library, 201 W. Mifflin St., Madison, WI 53703, 266-6300
Mad Theory is a Performance Philosophy Symposium featuring a dynamic range of interdisciplinary work -- lecture performances, experimental talks, live art, interactive installations, round table discussions, collaborative praxis-based workshops, site-specific work, durational work, relational aesthetics, and digital media -- at the intersection of theory and practice. The event is motivated by collective energy, enthusiasm, curiousness, interdisciplinarity, provocativeness, and desire to expand how, why, and through what methods we produce knowledge. This symposium will provide UW arts and humanities faculty and students, and the Madison community at large, with a dynamic time and space to showcase and discuss a wide range of practices and forms of performative scholarship, artistic research, and critical-creative collaboration. Check out our website for more info! https://madtheory2015.wordpress.com/ This project is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
