May 14: Mary Elise Antoine of Prairie du Chien, former President of the Prairie du Chien Historical Society and Former Curator of Research & Development at Villa Louis, will be the guest speaker on the Winnebago Uprising of 1827.
The Madison History Roundtable is dedicated to the discussion and preservation of American history. Founded in 1954 as the Madison Civil War Roundtable, the group has expanded to a broader area of American history topics with emphasis on the American Civil War, U.S. military history and Wisconsin history.
We invite you to attend the 2014-2015 season of the Madison History Roundtable. The meetings are open to the public.
Attendees have a choice of ordering a meal before the program, or attending just the program. The price of the meal is increasing to $20. The meal is served prior to the meeting at 6:00pm. Note that the meal is optional; you may elect to only attend the presentation portion of the meeting at 7:15 pm.
Reservations are due the Tuesday before the meeting, by email (preferred) (email@example.com) or by calling Bill Sayles at 608-274-9324. Leave your name and the number of dinner reservations.
In support of the Madison History Roundtable, annual dues remain at $30. The dues help support the operation of the Madison History Roundtable, including speaker fees. Membership is not required to attend the monthly meeting and presentation.
The Madison History Roundtable meets the second Thursday of the month (September - May) at the Radisson Hotel Madison (517 Grand Canyon Drive).
