The Watertown Players Children's Theatre is proud to announce the production of "Captain Bree and Her Lady Pirates," to be performed at the Watertown Players Theatre in The Market, 210 S. Water Street in Watertown, on Friday March 20th, and Saturday March 21st at 6pm and Sunday March 22nd at 2pm. Tickets are still available for the Sunday matinee, and they are $3.00 each. Twenty Six children enrolled in the theater workshop this year and have been working hard on their pirating since January. The play is about a group of fearsome lady pirates who capture a British vessel only to find out that there is no treasure! The pirates decide to ransom off the important British passengers with some comical results! The pirates in the play are: Lillie Schildbach, Brooke Parkhurst, Anna Baucom, Elly Fiedler, Hanna Cookson, Jillian Dunham, Mikayla Dolan, Angelina Galarza, Gaia Wollenberg, Brooklyn Serven, Isabella Oaks and Jade Stocklin. The British captives are: Teaghan Schommer, Zander Pleester, Kaitlynn Flanigan, Travis Christensen, Paxton Kamrath, Zakary Lamke, Aiden Miller, Iris Leach, Sarahlyn Webb, Amanda Gracia, and Aliviah Walsh. The British officials are: Elizabeth Deavers, Taija Garcia and Aria Stocklin. The show is under the direction of Rev. Liz Tester, with assistance from Alice Mirk and Sue Trepte.
The Watertown Childrens Theatre workshop helps children learn confidence, stage craft and elocution and prepares them for the plays they will have the opportunity to try out for in middle school and high school. Emphasis is placed on voice production, improvisation and stage movement. The Watertown Players is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing theatre in all its forms to the larger community of Watertown.
