press release: The next offering in the 57th annual Travel Adventure Film Series is A Week in Paris with Marlin Darrah on March 13 and 14 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $13 for the general public, $12 for UW Faculty and Staff, $11 for Union members and non UW-Madison students, and $6 for UW-Madison students. A buffet meal inspired by the region is available for an additional $18, and will be served at 5:30pm. The film is in Union South’s Marquee and the dinner will be at Varsity Hall. Journey into Paris with seasoned international film producer Marlin Darrah as he explores one of the most beautiful cities in the world in his film, “A Week in Paris”. The audience will be plunged into an exploration of public art and architecture, diverse and unique bridges, narrow streets of the Latin Quarter, street markets and shops, the sculptures and arches of the Tuileries and, of course, the Eiffel Tower, the single most visited paid monument in the world.
Marlin Darrah is one of the most traveled filmmaker in the world. He's the executive director of International Film & Video, an award-winning film and HD video production company based in Portland, Oregon. His 35-year career has taken him to some 135 countries on all continents. Companies that have shown Marlin's travel-adventure programs or stock footage include National Geographic, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, PBS, Discovery Channel, TBN, The Weather Channel and many others.
