media release: Hundreds of softly glowing lights illuminate the trails of Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Edna Taylor Conservancy, and Woodland Park. Join us for a hike and enjoy a roaring bonfire outside the beautiful Aldo Leopold Nature Center.
In partnership with Madison Parks and Monona Parks & Recreation, all ages and abilities are welcome to this FREE snowshoeing event! After snowshoeing, warm up by a roaring fire; and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, coffee, or tea.
Come one, come all…No pre-registration is required! This is a FREE event with FREE parking and a FREE shuttle from the Ahuska Park parking lot (400 W. Broadway).
Concessions available on site! Portable and indoor restrooms available.
PARKING: Free shuttle service and free parking at Ahuska Park. Parking, without shuttle service, may be available along Femrite Drive, Roselawn Drive, and Edna Taylor Parkway. See parking map.
- Bring your own snowshoes or borrow (limited quantities) a pair to use during the event.
- Please no pets, skiing, or sleds allowed.
- Aldo Leopold Nature Center will not be open for activities or restrooms, portable toilets will be available onsite
- If there is no snow, the event will be a walk/hike.
