The Nation magazine is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and coming to Madison with a series of events that honor the rich history and fighting spirit of progressivism in Wisconsin. The Havens Center will host a Nation anniversary discussion about modern day civil rights struggles on April 30th at 4 pm at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. State Representative Mandela Barnes, Nation correspondents Gary Younge and John Nichols, Christine Neumann-Ortiz from Voces de la Frontera, and M Adams from Young, Gifted and Black will participate in the discussion.
