Mig Reyes spends his days leading brand and marketing efforts at Basecamp headquarters in his favorite city, Chicago. He is a traditionally-trained graphic designer who has previously worked on Threadless’ interactive design team, and for clients including AIGA, Google, Harley-Davidson, Rand McNally, Sears, Segura Inc, SC Johnson, and Valspar.
At Basecamp, Mig is a designer who explores the intersection of art, marketing, and technology for their project management app used by thousands of people every day across the world. Some of his responsibilities including developing new features, improving conversion and customer retention, and shaping the Basecamp voice through marketing experiments and writing.
Most of Mig’s latest work has been on UI and marketing campaigns, however with his traditional graphic design roots, he likes to take his design ideas outside the web and onto tactile medium like t-shirts, skateboards, and posters.
Community outreach is very important to Mig. Along with speaking at events and giving presentations on creativity and design, he serves as Co-President for AIGA Chicago and teaches art direction and design within Chicago portfolio and tech schools.
