Over-the-top costumes battle on stage at 11 pm nightly at Freakin’ Halloweekend, a long-running holiday tradition at the High Noon Saloon. Even better, local bands masquerade as legends, a sometimes revelatory peek at their influences. Friday includes tributes to The Pogues (The Kissers, natch) as well as heavies Faith No More, Misfits (YLAB) and Pearl Jam. Saturday’s show features the music of Johnny Cash (Wood Chickens), Green Day, The Go-Go’s, U2 (The Shabelles) and No Doubt.
