The Canopy Center is pleased to invite you to its 4th Annual fundraiser, LIFT THE MASK on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Madison Turner Hall (3001 S. Stoughton Road) from 7pm-11pm. The semi-formal masquerade ball will feature live entertainment, costume contests, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, a silent auction and raffle, and great company! Tickets are $45 each or $25 for students. A table of eight is $500 and can be purchased in advance at http://www.canopycenter.org/p/lift-mask-2015.html.
Canopy Center hopes to reach their goal of $25,000 and the proceeds will go to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect for over 4,000 Madison area families. Not only will they have a silent and a live auction, they will also have an online auction for those who cannot make it to the event. Canopy Center will be auctioning off exclusive items such as two indoor box seat tickets to see the Packers on Thanksgiving Day, an autographed basketball from the Wisconsin Badgers and much more.
The event will be emceed by NBC5 anchor Leigh Mills and the Josh Becker Band will be entertainment for the night. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. There will be a strolling dinner complete with, but not limited, to brisket, desserts and open bar. There will be a raffle, games, and fun for everyone.
Canopy Center is a child abuse treatment and prevention agency which was created in 1977 by a young mother. She had been abused as a child and the impact this abuse was having on her own parenting methods led her to bring a national parent support group model to Madison. Today, the Canopy Center serves over 4,000 people annually through their programs.
