MADDY COURT is a writer and zinemaker from Appleton.
JACK ORTIZ is a fiction writer from Torrance, California In 2016, he won the August Derleth Prize, and next year he will be the Halls-Hoffman Emerging Artist Fellow at the Wisconsin Insitute for Creative Writing. He is at work on a collection of linked stories set in Los Angeles.
CARRIE SCHUETTPELZ holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Iowa and a master’s in public policy from Harvard University. Her work has appeared in The Saturday Evening Post and The Guardian, among others. Prior to arriving in Wisconsin, she was a Policy Advisor in the Obama Administration.
EMILY SHETLER teaches English composition at UW-Madison and is a network fellow with the Center for Education Research. She also teaches creative writing and comics as part of the Oakhill Prison Humanities Project in Oregon.
