Milwaukee Beer Week Goes Digital for 2015
Event announces the launch of app to help navigate the week’s expanded schedule of events
Celebrating its 6th year in style, Milwaukee Beer Week announced today the launch of a Milwaukee Beer Week app. Available for download on both iTunes and Google play, the app was designed to help craft enthusiasts navigate the 100+ events planned for Milwaukee Beer Week, April 18 – 25.
The mobile technology will allow users to effortlessly navigate the eight day event list by date, venue, location or brewery and create a personalized digital itinerary right on their mobile device. An interactive map tool offers for easy navigation to event locations. The digital event Passport allows users to easily check in at the events they attend, share their experiences on social media. As in past years, the prizes will be awarded to users that attend the most events.
“This event was designed to capture and showcase the passion and expertise this city’s residents, businesses and breweries have for the craft brewing industry,” said Dave Cartwright, Craft Sales Manager for New Berlin-based beer wholesaler, Beechwood Sales and Service. “We are incredibly excited about this year’s participants and event line-up and hope the introduction of the app will help attendees maximize their Beer Week experience.”
April 18 is the beginning of a week jam-packed full of events. Milwaukee Beer Week 2015 currently has over 200 events scheduled throughout the city, dedicated to socializing, sampling and celebrating craft beer. The event variety makes it easy for craft connoisseurs of every taste and preference to find the perfect fit. Best of all, the majority of these events are FREE for the public to attend!
Be sure to watch the Events section of the Milwaukee Beer Week website and download the free mobile app, to see real-time event updates and confirmations as they become available.
