“It’s a magical thing to see these beautiful creatures up close,” says Margaret Elmore, perennial manager at America’s Best Flower. “And it’s pretty easy to make them feel at home. They just need a few favorite plants for food.”
Elmore discusses perennial plants that offer nectar to nourish hummingbirds and food for caterpillars and butterflies. She describes woody shrubs that provide sustenance and shelter for birds. Elmore also talks about the butterfly house planned for the perennial area at America’s Best Flowers this summer.
