Purgolder Basketball Camp
Register now for Fit Youth Initiative’s Purgolder Basketball Camp for students in 1st through 8th grade. The one-day camp will consist of 4 age-specific sessions, to develop basketball fundamentals in a safe, positive learning environment.
Sat, April 7, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (See below for specific times for each age group), Madison East High School, 2222 East Washington Avenue
$20 per child. Event proceeds will go towards future scholarships for the new FYI Purgolders Basketball program

Kindergarten thru 1st Grade Session: 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
2nd Grade thru 3rd Grade Session: 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The two morning sessions will be led by former UW Madison Head Women’s Basketball Coach and current WNBA Los Angeles Sparks Assistant Coach Bobbie Kelsey, using the BillyBounce Basketball curriculum.
Kindergarten thru 3rd Grade campers will receive a BillyBounce t-shirt and basketball.

4th, 5th & 6th Grade Session: 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
7th & 8th Grade Session: 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The two afternoon sessions will focus on offensive skills including shooting, dribbling and passing techniques. The sessions will be led by East High School coaches and current varsity players. 4th thru 8th Grade campers will receive an event shirt.
The Goodman Community Center is the largest neighborhood center in Madison. The Center offers many programs to strengthen the lives of preschoolers through teens, meals and social activities for older adults, a food pantry, a gym, exercise facility and community space.
