Celebrate Earth Month by Attending the The Sierra Club - John Muir Chapter's Open House
You may have noticed some changes at the John Muir Chapter lately. Due to a change in the National Sierra Club's website server, and the need to offer a consistent, modern look and functionality to our communications, we recently updated our Chapter website, and the websites for the River Touring Section, the Chippewa Valley Group, the Coulee Region Group, the Fox Valley Group, and the Southeast Gateway Group. Please check out our new web presence and let us know if you have feedback at email@example.com.
Also, we recently moved from the South Hamilton Street office we resided at for many years with our allies at RENEW WI, ELPC, Envest, and the Partnership for National Trails. After some great volunteer help with packing, moving, and even assembling a new desk, we are now settled into a new, energy efficient office with a kitchen, modern conference rooms, and ADA accessibility. We are also fortunate to be co-located with fellow Community Shares of Wisconsin members Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired.
We are excited about the space, and we hope you will like it too! You are invited to attend our Open House, 754 Williamson Street, Madison, Wisconsin, Wednesday, April 29, between 4:00 - 6:00 PM, and enjoy some delicious snacks and beverages with us as you check out the new facilities. There is no admission, but we would be grateful to receive any $45 donations in honor of the 45th Anniversary of Earth Day at this event (even if you can't attend, you may still donate online to support our local work to protect land, water, and wildlife and expand clean energy and transit in Wisconsin). Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, April 27 if you can join us! We hope to see you there.
