Reading the History of 1913 Whitewater from an Oregon School Girl’s Postcards Home
Presented by Linda Robinson, Professor at UW-Whitewater
During the first summer attending the Normal School at Whitewater, Bernice Hanan of Oregon, Wis., wrote postcards home almost every day and, in doing so, gave us a fascinating glimpse of the lives of Whitewater’s young people in 1913.
Come have fun “reading” these historical artifacts to discover the stories they have to tell.
