press release: Another world premiere! For the 2nd year in a row, the UW-Whitewater Theatre/Dance Department is producing a world premiere for their annual children’s tour. Three Excellent Cows makes its debut on Saturday, October 24 at 2:00 pm in Barnett Theatre, located in the Greenhill Center of the Arts. This story, written by UW-Whitewater professor, Eric Appleton, is about three excellent cows pursuing their big dreams and is a positive message for young audiences! For tickets call 262-472-2222 or order online at tickets.uww.edu.
This production is a unique experience to introduce the young people in your life to the world of theatre. Farmer Cynthia really has her hands full with Felix, Rupert and Daisy, three excellent cows who are curious, intelligent and fearless. Most farmyard animals are perfectly happy chewing their cud, wandering around the farm and staring blankly at passersby, but these cows have BIG dreams! Rupert plans to be the first bull on the moon, Felix intends to own a chain of frozen yogurt stands and Daisy will someday be President of the United States. They believe in themselves despite what others on the farm think. Join the fun, as dreams become reality in the world premiere of Three Excellent Cows.
Stick around after the performance because the characters will be available to sign autographs and take pictures with the kids.
Tickets are available to purchase in person at the Greenhill Center Box Office Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm or by phone at 262-472-2222. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the performance, beginning one hour prior to curtain, as availability allows. Single tickets for each production are $7 for the general public and for those over 65, $5 for those under 18 students with a valid UW-Whitewater ID.
