The Daily Page: How did you become a farmers' market vendor?
I am a third generation farmer, and I began by traveling with other farmers to Dane County to sell our products.
What else do you offer through the summer season?
Mulberries, both red and black raspberries, blackberries, cherries, tomatoes, peppers and corn.
What's your most popular product?
Honey.
What's your favorite product elsewhere at the market?
Fresh cranberries.
What's your pre-packaged, supermarket-shelved guilty pleasure?
Sugar-free Red Bull.
If you were to make a dish incorporating your products, what would you make?
My sweet and sour sauce.
The recipe is:
1 Tbsp. sorghum
1 Tbsp. miso
Mix well and apply to ribs or wings at the end of grilling, or on tempeh or tofu cooked in olive oil.
