Dobra Tea and Fu Gu move onto State and Gilman Comings and goings in the Madison restaurant world by Linda Falkenstein September 30, 2008 6:00 PM Back to Search Results × Expand Linda Falkenstein Dobra Tea warms up downtown Madison as winter approaches. × Dobra also has a small roster of snacks (cookies and nuts), and some Middle Eastern appetizers on the menu. And more openings, closings, and expectations... Good Times Restaurant and Games is slated to open Oct. 1 in the former Fitch's at 5957 McKee Rd., Fitchburg. The restaurant will cater to families, with games aimed at kids, like Ice Ball and Wheel of Fortune, and games that parents and other adults can enjoy too, like pinball. The menu is "fun food, in a good-looking dining area," says general manager Gary Tierman. The menu is casual, with ribs, steak sliders, burgers and sandwiches and elaborate nachos built from the ground up -- more like pizzas usually are, says Tierman. David's Jamaican has opened a second location at 1616 Beld St. on the south side, former home to Mr. P's and the much-missed Jada's Soul Food. Fu Gu, billed as a fine-dining seafood restaurant serving live fish, is currently renovating the space recently vacated by campus Chinese outpost Yummy Buffet, 411 W. Gilman St. Will the menu include its namesake, the infamous poisonous pufferfish? A Mexican restaurant, El Princes, is going into the old Pelayo's spot across from Farm and Fleet at 2229 S. Stoughton Rd.
