The Best Food Writing 2009 anthology (DaCapo Press) has just been published and once again includes an essay by Isthmus food writer Raphael Kadushin. Called "The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie I've Ever Had," it's about a south central Wisconsin farm dinner, idyllic, progressive and yet a little mid-American retro. It was originally published as a post in the Epicurious blog "The Epi-Log." Kadushin's article "New Day, New Devon," originally published in Bon Appetit, was in the 2008 anthology. Other writers among the 50 included in BFW '09 are Anthony Bourdain, Frank Bruni, Ruth Reichl, Calvin Trillin and Alice Waters.
