Digital Media Intern

Isthmus is looking for sharp, motivated and experienced student journalists to help produce our award-winning website, TheDailyPage.com. This is not an observational internship; we expect interns to bring opinions, ideas and the enthusiasm to carry them out. Interns will be expected to spend up to 20 hours a week working at Isthmus, producing online content in text, photos and/or video. No filing or coffee runs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sell advertising into newspaper, online and special sections;
* Work with an established client list and develop new advertisers;
* Engage in sales efforts that include face-to-face sales and active outbound phone sales
* Provide excellent customer service; and
* Help small businesses create great ads and grow with the local economy.

REQUIREMENTS
* The ability to generate ideas, and develop proposals and promotions;
* Two years' successful sales or business experience; and
* Excellent communications skills, motivation and drive.

Full-time position includes commission, bonuses and full benefits package. As a sales professional with Isthmus you will be provided with excellent training and support.
