UP: Holiday travelers. Wisconsin reported the lowest number of traffic fatalities over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend since 2000; just four travelers were killed, even though more people are believed to have traveled this year than last year, when 12 people died in accidents.
DOWN: Doyle administration. The Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism reveals that Gov. Jim Doyle gave the single largest share of federal stimulus money meant to promote green energy projects to Didion Milling Inc., one of the state's most frequent and flagrant polluters. More shocking still, Doyle's office reportedly did not respond to messages seeking an explanation. Here's hoping that Gov. Walker is not so arrogant.
