For years, beekeepers have struggled with colony collapse, with bees dying en masse. Wisconsin just proposed a plan to help save the bees. But as Molly Stentz reported in last week’s Isthmus, the plan is voluntary and doesn’t do much to deal with pesticides, which many scientists believe are weakening bees and leaving them unable to fend off other illnesses and parasites.
