Isthmus on WORT: Gus Paras seeks to revive the Orpheum Theater

Gus Paras just purchased the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Madison for $1.7 million. He plans to methodically improve the State Street venue, figuring out options with the boilers and air-conditioning, repairing the plaster and slowly upgrading equipment. Eventually, the iconic marquee hanging outside will be completely restored.

Isthmus reporter Joe Tarr reports on Gus Paras and his plans to revive the Orpheum Theater in the November 22 issue and discussed his story with WORT producer Dylan Brogan on the November 21 edition of In Our Backyard.
