It's a short week for Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, due to a trip to D.C. on Thursday. We can only guess that's for the White House tree lighting or something.
Anyway, the item that sticks out the most is the Common Council's holiday party, scheduled for Saturday at Laundry 101. Now, I get that Zach Brandon's establishment is both a laundry facility AND a bar/lounge. But keeping in mind that the concept of partying with the Council is pretty weird in and of itself, imagine that Cindy Thomas might bring a load of whites to wash or that Tim Bruer might be called on to hold Ken Golden's drink while he cleans out a lint trap.
The good news is if someone should happen to get a little sloppy, as happens at a lot of holiday parties, he or she can get cleaned up right on the premises.
