Boats play music songs in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with lyrics about dismemberment (the good kind), excellent posture, and orthodontic surgery. A junky indie-pop band with high-end hopes but low-end equipment (total net
worth of keyboard section: $40, all thrift store finds), Mat Klachefsky’s bizarre vocal chords mixed with his “infectiously catchy” pop songs and boundless energy have been freaking out audiences ever since they released their critically acclaimed first album "Intercontinental Champion" to local audiences in October 2007. Since then they have embarked on four Canadian tours, played a packed houses at SXSW, NXNE, Pop Montreal, WCMA's and Sled Island, and charted solidly all across Canada.

Website: madisonfrequency.com/ | Mike Mangione At The FrequencyEnter to win tickets to see Mike Mangione with Jermiah Nelson who will be playing at the Frequency on Thursday, March 25 at 10 P.M.
Mike Mangione creates music that speaks to the masses in a brutally honest tone. His constant dedication to his audience and the art of live performance has been the underlying impetus behind his forthcoming release, "Tenebrae," an album he recently recorded with his band. The album marks a dénouement of sorts, the culmination of a process that began as a search for a subtle, organic, yet dynamic and expressive sound.

Website: madisonfrequency.com/ | | The Gusto At The FrequencyEnter to win a pair of tickets to go see The Gusto with The Riot Before, Cheap Girls and The American Dead on Tuesday, March 30 at 9:30 P.M. at The Frequency.
The Gusto is a dangerous four-headed beast. Its roar is a harmonious orgy of pain and shredding, much to the delight of its young, drug addicted fan-base. But it was not always this way. The Gusto was once four young lads, leading totally separate lives in scenic Wisconsin. As children, they had all in their own way come to the realization that they were too cool to be cops, too stupid to be doctors and too sexy to be lawyers. This left only one viable career option: a hard rocking melodic punk band. Through a series of events too magical and mysterious to ever be retold, they met and fell in love with each other. Now they live as one, spreading rock so liberally as to give onlookers cause to liken it to butter.
