Family Guy
2K Games (PlayStation 2, Xbox, PlayStation Portable)
Rated Mature
The videogame version of the sarcastic animated TV series features decent gameplay, with players taking the roles of the family members. The levels are fairly challenging, and the save points make sense so that you don't endlessly repeat the same levels while trying to get past the difficult parts.
That, unfortunately, is pretty much where the praise ends. While the minigames that pop up seemingly at random do a good job of simulating the show's famous cutaway jokes, I found them repetitive and not much fun to play. And the whole thing just isn't funny enough.
You'd be better off spending your $30 on one of the "Family Guy" box sets. It'll last you longer, and you'll end up enjoying yourself a whole lot more.
