Madden NFL '07, NBA '07 & NHL 2K7

Those with a PlayStation 3 face the classic dilemma of the platform upgrade: Do I buy the PS3 version of the PS2 game I already have, or do I hold out for the new titles?
Many of the titles that came out across multiple platforms offer no differences for the PS3. Not so with the sports titles, however. The graphics in Madden '07, NBA '07 and NHL 2K7 are much improved over their PS2 counterparts. In Madden, we see more animation on the line and more realistic movements by players in motion. NBA '07 gives us player facial expressions and, for some unfortunate reason, sweat. NHL 2K7 offers some of the best player models I've seen, and the ice looks incredibly real.
The PS3's exclusiveSiraxis controller is supposed to be the coolest addition to gaming since the gamepad. You won't know it from Madden, though, as the game has done absolutely nothing with it. In NBA, on the other hand, you can juke, move and low-post simply by moving the controller around. And NHL gives you much easier goalie control with the Siraxis than joystick movement could ever offer.
For my money, NBA '07 and NHL 2K7 are worth the upgrade, while football fans should hold out for Madden '08.
