The UW football team trampled the Northwestern Wildcats at Camp Randall on Saturday. The Badgers defeated their Illinois neighbor to bring their Big Ten record to 2-1 and overall record to 5-1 on the season, which is now half-complete not counting any potential bowl games. The game was only simulcasted live online, however, and not on TV, a point of contention among the multitudes of fans not lucky enough to have tickets to the long-ago sold-out game.
If watching online video of live Badger football didn't sound too appealing, there is always the fan footage. Brief clips shot by fans in the stands, mostly depicting fun like the mass homage to House of Pain, are quite amenable for viewing. There's no shortage of them this week.
A clip of Wisconsin's fight song, along with several others, follows below. The first video, shot from the base of the student section on the north end of the stadium, shows the UW Marching Band performing "On Wisconsin!" at the end of halftime.
The videographer responsible for this clip also published three others:
- Watch student ticket-holders in sections 'O' and 'P' get up, stand up and put their hands up in this video.
- Watch a brief clip showing a rapid variant of the wave roll counter-clockwise 'round the stadium.
- Finally, this clip features the UW Marching Band performing "You've Said It All" as they exit Camp Randall at the conclusion of the Fifth Quarter.
Another fan shot and posted a short clip of the "slow wave" at Camp Randall, which typically follows the "fast wave" and precedes a directional reversal in the wave sequence at the stadium.
Finally, want one more look at the crowd jumping around? Here's another video, this time shot from the top of the student section:
