Video artist Kristina Motwani describes her short film Frame as an "experiment in composition and timing." It's also a suspense film, one that examines a scene from a variety of perspectives and distances. Shots of a woman's shoulder, a pool of spilled blood and a woman smoking on a bathroom floor tell the story of a nasty situation, one that is enhanced with the continuously changing framing, or perhaps frame of mind.
The four-minute short film follows below.
Frame was originally shown at a Wis-Kino screening on May 21, 2006. Set to a cool and pensive IDM track by Samarah, the film was created under the banner of Swishface Productions. There is further discussion of the film on the Wis-Kino forums.
