Here's a blast from the past: If you lived or worked in downtown Madison two and a third years ago, chances are you either heard or heard quite a bit about the John Kerry presidential campaign rally that packed West Washington Avenue to the gills on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004. Helping draw the many tens of thousands to the gently sloping hill southwest of the Capitol were two intergenerational rock icons -- Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters.
