Last Saturday, St. Patrick's Day, was a busy affair in downtown Madison. Thanks in part to the warmer weather, State Street was teeming with people through most of the day.
The crowds were also particularly thick due to a confluence of three events held early in the afternoon; the parade around Capitol Square, the WIAA boys basketball tournament at the Kohl Center, and a series of rallies and marches against the Iraq War marking the fourth anniversary of its beginning.
This latter event, beginning at the UW Library Mall, was well-documented on video, as participants and observers documented the 500 or so protestors as they marched to rally at the Kohl Center against military recruiting in high schools.
One brief video clip from protest follows below, along with several other extended looks at the event.
