Back on Aug. 17, 2003, the Anchor Inn on Atwood Avenue celebrated the first anniversary of its ownership by local rock-scene lion Mr. Blues with a concert featuring Shotdown. This is already a bygone era in Madison music -- the tavern is under new ownership, and the old-school hard rock group is no longer active (except for the occasional reunion show). It's not forgotten, though.
A live concert video of Shotdown performing "What Love Is" follows below.
Also available for viewing is a concert clip of Shotdown playing "I Should Have Killed You When I Had the Chance" at the anniversary party. Both videos were shot and edited by Tim Wuolle. More information about Shotdown, and alumni of interview published in Maximum Ink in the spring of 2003.
Another show for Mr. Blues is set for Thursday, March 15, when the Skintones and Straight to Audio will play a medical benefit concert at the High Noon Saloon. There is ongoing chatter about the show on TDPF.
