Frost/Nixon: Behind-the-scenes account of the momentous interviews with Richard Nixon (Frank Langella) conducted by British TV personality David Frost (Michael Sheen) in 1977. The movie is at its best when it is examining the fragile intersection of media and politics, but I'm not sure that this story of Frost's chutzpah and Nixon's intractability is inherently that gripping.
Notorious: Biopic of rapper Christopher Wallace (Jamal Woolard), a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls, who was murdered at the age of 24 at the height of his success. The film won't be mistaken for investigative journalism, but it will help solidify Wallace's legacy as a hip-hop innovator.
