The Adjustment Bureau: A U.S. Senate candidate (Matt Damon) stumbles upon the work of supernatural "caseworkers" tasked with steering people back to the plans set out for them. What might have simply been a tight genre thriller is an ambitious, efficient love story and a meditation on the nature of free will.
