Mao's Last Dancer: In 1981, the young Chinese dancer Li Cunxin (Chi Cao) visits the Houston Ballet as an exchange student, then gets married to avoid going back to the People's Republic. Based on Li's autobiography, this is a likable film with much fine dancing, though director Bruce Beresford doesn't seem to be looking for nuances.
