The Intouchables: Billed as being "based on a true story," this film is about the unlikely friendship that develops between a wealthy, white quadriplegic (Franois Cluzet) and a streetwise, black ne'er-do-well (Omar Sy) who becomes his live-in companion. It's a minor gem of nuanced performances and sublime directorial craftsmanship.
The Possession: A girl (Natasha Calis) becomes obsessed with an antique box containing a spirit that's eager to inhabit a human host. For a horror flick, this film's not terribly predictable - especially when Hasidic rapper Matisyahu arrives to expel the demon.
