A new menu at Sundance Madison is hit and miss
I like almost everything about Sundance Cinemas -- the big, cushiony seats, Robert Redford's noble intentions, the fresh-popped popcorn and the smartly curated films. So the fact that the theater hasn't yet managed to serve the kind of food that matches all those good intentions, and that you'd expect from an artisanal cinema, has been frustrating.

Beyond movies
It used to be that you'd go to the movies to...see a movie. Maybe neck. Who has time for that now, when you go to have drinks or a fine meal before an eye-popping 3-D IMAX "experience," or even see a live performance in real time as it's performed half a continent away?

Bruce Campbell enthralls Madison fans with "My Name Is Bruce" at Sundance
A Winter Weather Advisory would keep most people in their homes, and would likewise keep most out-of-towners from venturing into Madison. That was not the case on Wednesday night for fans of B-movie icon Bruce Campbell, nor for the man himself, as he hosted four spirited screenings of his new film at Sundance Cinemas.
