Sights Unseen: Images of the Nanoscale

This exhibition of photographic prints gives you a microbe's-eye view of the world. The images were captured by folks at the UW's Materials Research Science and Engineering Center on Nanostructured Interfaces and the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center. They blow tiny things up big -- a strikingly trippy effect.

The Shack*Shakers wallow in Southern gothic, playing swampy hillbilly blues that are dark around the edges. They screen their Southern musical documentary Seven Signs before the show. Those Poor Bastards open.

Steel Bridge Songfest Pre-Party

The Songfest is scheduled for June 12-14 in Door County's Sturgeon Bay, raising funds to preserve the area's historic Michigan Street Bridge. This pre-party features the Dirty Deuce, Baghdad Scuba Review, Little Marsh Overflow, Pat MacDonald, Dead Horse and Tony Brown.
